Enticing Blue Smokey Look

While going through my makeup, I realized I don't play around with much of the blue eyeshadows. I think some of us are reminded of the 80's or even Mimi from the Drew Carey show when debating whether or not to use this color in particular. However, if done right, a blue eye look can come off as glamorous and striking. I decided to try out a look that gives just the right amount of color without being overwhelming. What is of utmost importance is to remember to blend very well, so everything is cohesive. This look is perfect for a night out and gives your eyes the perfect dose of magnetism.

Ed Sheeran Cover - Give Me Love

I've been listening to Ed Sheeran like crazy for the past month. I can't believe I didn't discover him sooner. A majority of his songs tug at the heart strings, and he sings with so much passion and believability. Not only does he have amazing vocals, but he kills it on the acoustic. I've been trying to learn his songs on the acoustic, but it's still pretty advanced for me to play. Regardless, I enjoy learning his songs and playing more simple versions of them. So far this is my second Ed Sheeran cover. There may be more covers of his songs in the future ;)

Go-To Evening Smokey Eye Look - Simple, Subtle, and Sexy!

I did this post on a whim because I thought I'd let you all in on my go-to smokey eye for the evening. I like this look because it's simple to do, and it goes with any outfit. Plus, all but one of the products that are used are inexpensive brands, and the eyeshadows all come from the same Coastal Scents 88 original palette. For some reason, I always tend to wait last minute to start on my makeup before it's time to go out, and a look like this has helped me with being more efficient with my time.

Products used:
Face:
~ Foundation Primer: Rimmel Fix & Perfect 001
~ Foundation: Revlon PhotoReady in 008 Golden Beige
~ Face Powder: Maybelline Dream Matte Powder in Beige
~ Concealer: Hard Candy Glamoflauge in Medium
~ Contour: NYX Matte Bronzer in MBB 05 Deep Tan
~ Highlight: MAC Pigment in Vanilla

Eyes:
~ Eyebrows: NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Dark Brown/Brown
~ Eyeliner: Maybelline Master Precise in Black
~ Eyeshadow Primer: Hard Candy Eyeshadow Primer
~ Eye Shadows: Coastal Scents 88 Original Palette
~ Mascara: CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume in Very Black and
Hard Candy Ginormous Lashes in Carbon Black

~ FaceSecrets Bronzer Brush

Having a more subtle eye look is a great way to really accentuate the eyes you were born with instead of masking them. Now you can spend more time having fun with your friends instead of working on your makeup ;) I hope you all enjoyed this evening smokey eye look!
